How to Configure Automatic Reminders to Start Construction and/or Complete Outstanding Inspections

Overview 

Cloudpermit allows users to configure how many days after a permit is issued and reminders to complete outstanding inspections an automated email is sent to remind parties to applications. This articles explains how to configure this feature. This article explains how to configure this feature for all permit categories and then continues to explain how to configure it for a specific category.

How to Configure Reminders to Start Construction and/or Complete Outstanding Inspections

  1. Log into Cloudpermit at ca.cloudpermit.com
  2. Click your name at the top right
  3. Click Configuration
  4. Scroll dow to Required forms, attachments, and review configs
  5. Click Building permit
  6. Scroll down to Notifications
  7. Change the number in the text field "days after permit is issued"
    1. By default, Cloudpermit will send this reminder 180 days after the permit issuance days
  8. Change the number in the text field "days before "Completion date" value in permit
    1. By default, Cloudpermit will send this reminder 30 days before the completion date inputted in the permit draft.
  9. To configure this function for a specific category, please follow these steps
    1. Follow steps 1-5 above
    2. Scroll down below "Notifications" 
      1. You should now see all of the permit categories (accessory structures, agricultural, etc.)
    3. Click on the category you want to configure the email notifications for
    4. Scroll down to Notifications
    5. Edit the number of days in the permit issuance and days before completion date. These settings will only affect the specific category you're working on.
