How to Create Inspection Requests Directly from the Dispatching View

Overview

While many, if not most, requests for inspections on Cloudpermit will be done online by the person who requests the inspection, Cloudpermit also allows for the dispatcher to create inspection requests on behalf of customers directly from the dispatching view. This article explains how dispatcher can do that. 

How to Create Inspection Requests Directly from the Dispatching View

  1. Log into Cloudpermit at ca.cloudpermit.com
  2. Click on Dispatching
  3. Click on the ADD NEW REQUEST button
    1. It is located at the top of the Inspection request queue on the left side of the screen
  4. Search for the subject application
    1. To do so, simply begin typing in the address for the application in the search bar
  5. Select the application from the list of returned applications
  6. Click on the Create inspection button
  7. Select the applicable Inspection type
    1. To do so, click the Select button. This will open up a list of available inspection types
  8. Once you've selected the applicable inspection type, click the CREATE INSPECTION button
  9. Select a Requested date
    1. To do so, click the calendar button and select the applicable date
  10. Select a Requested time slot
    1. To do so, click the Select button and select either a morning or afternoon time slot
  11. (Optional) Add any additional information for the Inspector
    1. To do so, begin typing in the text box 
  12. Click the CREATE INSPECTION REQUEST button
    1. Once you do, you'll be presented with a confirmation message at the top right of your screen simply letting you know you've successfully created the inspection request
  13. Success. You've now created the inspection request directly from the dispatching view and it should be handled the same way any other inspection request.
